When there is a third-party payer (i.e., your insurance) it has the ability to request confidential data and notes from our sessions. Not submitting claims to your insurance company allows us to keep notes completely confidential. Additionally, there are certain psychiatric diagnoses that individuals receive which may prevent them from obtaining future health insurance, military admission, etc. |
